Cartridge Dust Collectors

Cartridge dust collectors are a type of dust collector used quite often. This type uses metal cartridges that contain a pleated, non-woven filtering design. Because of its pleated nature, cartridge collectors will cover more area than conventional bag collectors, resulting in a smaller size and drop of pressure.

Cartridge dust collectors are enclosed by steel, containing filtering that separates fine dust particles from a cloud of dirt. Dust particles build up, producing a coat on the outside of the filtering called "dust cake," also producing a higher pressure drop. This particular layer does the actual job of filtering fine particles.
